Spencer Punnett is certified by the Florida Supreme Court to mediate civil disputes at the circuit and county court levels. His practice is now limited exclusively to mediation. He is also the author of Representing Clients in Mediation: A Guide to Optimal Results (ABA Publishing, 2013), a research-based book that has been praised as “the current standard mediation field manual for every litigator” (Hon. David Torrey, writing in Lex and Verum).
Mr. Punnett's law degree is from Northwestern University School of Law (1986), where he served as an editor of the Law Review and was awarded the school's Lowden-Wigmore Prize for Legal Scholarship. He is a former equity shareholder in Carlton Fields Jorden Burt (as it is now known), an AmLaw 200 law firm currently with six locations throughout Florida, plus offices in Atlanta, Hartford, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. He speaks fluent Spanish, with a certification of oral proficiency from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
